The project originates from the repetition of a single 18m² unit that form groups of about 12 to 16 units per level to create two clearly identifiable buildings.
The interplay and sliding of these two volumes allow changes of scale conducive to a better relation with the boulevard, the foyer entry court and common areas united by an internal garden. Grouped in pairs and housed within a prefabricated anodized aluminum frame protruding slightly from the brick façade, the bay window units alternately com-bine and shift from one level to another to produce different effects. Adding breaks in volume conceals the repetitive accumulation of identical units that stigmatizes the mono-functional nature of this type of operation.
The project proposes a « Russian doll » type of layout so that each series erases the accumulation of the previous subsets.
