Due to the variety of the programs, the basic school facility transforms into a neighborhood community center.
Skirting the square, the courtyard can visually extend to take in the planted background. At noon, the canteen, like a detached pavilion, floats beween the square and courtyard to give a new angle of vision, a new experience of the surroundings.
On the contrary, during the weekend when the school is closed, the square takes advantage of the depth of the courtyard to expand its sky space.
The duality also exists between the school and gymnasium that are complementary in the same way. The gymnasium roof serves as the courtyard when the gymnasium is open at night to local residents. The light wells that let in light during the day are transformed into light boxes that draw attention to the basement activity.
