The proposed INSA regrouping occupies a 9ha site within the Madrillet technology park which stands out as a large forest fragment within a exceptional natural setting. It consists of three new buildings that complement and extend the partially transformed existing radiating building designed by the architect, René Dottelonde.
The general form changes from a single circular configuration with isolated patios to a more open campus composed of low and fragmented buildings which insert into the adjoining vegetation.
The project gives identity to and develops a 500m long pedestrian route that, via an indoor street, crosses the existing building alongside the three new buildings (A, C and D), to create a coherent university complex that takes advantage of and develops multiple views over the landscape attributes of the site.
