URBAN PLANNING – PROJECT MANAGER IN FRENCH GUYANA (CDI)
Our agency in French Guiana is expanding and recruiting an architect-urban planner!
- Trained as an architect, training in urban planning (specialized Master’s degree) is a welcome plus;
– With a training in “urban planning and development”, experience in urban and operational project management is essential;
– Skills, interests (or training) in public spaces/landscaping are a plus.
The position to be filled, for which a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience is required, will cover a wide range of :
- pre-operational urban projects (feasibility / capacity studies / development plan / master plan) ;
2. operational urban projects: urban and architectural coordination with implementation of a development plan / specifications / lot sheets, monitoring of public spaces.
Presentation skills, meeting facilitation, management of “architects and architectures”, report writing, explanations and pedagogy towards the project owner are essential for this position.
Motivated, serious, eager to learn, experience in management will be appreciated.
Writing skills are required, with a view to possible participation in the drafting of calls for tender.
You will perform the following tasks:
- Preparing and leading meetings as the representative of a consortium;
– Development of the project design along defined lines;
– Architectural and urban feasibility studies;
– Designing urban master plans;
– Capacity calculations;
– Reading of all scales and technical studies issued on a given territory;
– Maintaining a project and a party ;
– PLU analysis – the ability to issue regulatory constraints is expected;
– Spatial analysis of the environment.
The position is based in Rémire Montjoly, French Guiana, and is available on a permanent basis.
