Much of the study focused on the courtyard. Although buried within the center of the building, it dominates and connects with its surroundings.
Located between earth and heaven, on one hand, it unites a base wherein logistics activities that require ground level access are located, and on the other, a string of offices and laboratories perfectly interchangeable that can be extended in the future.
The courtyard is an open court. Like a telescope, it captures through the large windows different views of either the hospital or the Paris skyline.
A courtyard conducive to concentration, where the sun rhythms the daylight hours, color floats in the middle of the space like a cloud tinted by the sun’s rays.
