Everblue, CFM Indosuez’s new iconic and sustainable building designed by Ateliers 2/3/4/ and The A Group – Jérome Hein Architecte

Paris, 10 March 2026,

In Monaco, Ateliers 2/3/4/ and The A Group – Jérome Hein Architecte have designed the renovation and extension project for Everblue, the iconic building of CFM Indosuez bank, renewing its identity by integrating it into a new urban dynamic that combines nature and architecture.

A project inspired by the Monegasque landscape, both near and far

The exceptional quality of the territory of Monaco, nestled in the hollow of the rock, inspired the architectural concept proposed by Ateliers 2/3/4/ and The A Group – Jérome Hein Architecte.

The genesis of the project revolves around two dimensions:

– Reconnecting the building with its environment and the wider landscape symbolised by the mountainous relief
of the site (Rocher de Monaco-Ville and Tête de Chien) by restoring its visibility from these remarkable peaks
in Monaco;

– Placing the building in close dialogue with its neighbourhood, La Condamine, by inserting it into a landscape grid to re-establish a connection with Square Gastaud, restoring scale to its façades to better resonate with the residential dimension of the neighbouring buildings.

A building like a carved stone setting, where nature meets architecture

Through the close relationship sought with the surrounding landscape, the project developed around the natural union
of minerals and plants.

Based on the four existing massive pillars and the image of
the vegetation clinging to the Rock of the Principality,
we created a stone setting made of blocks carved
from the rock and pierced by loggias sheltering hanging gardens. The entire structure is topped by a green canopy
reminiscent of the pine trees covering the Place du Palais Princier.

In the closer relationship sought with the Condamine district, the pavilion and garden created on the roof echo the kiosk in Square Gastaud, while the green loggias and balconies resonate with the terraces of the neighbouring residential buildings. This ‘landscape’ building thus fits seamlessly into the vegetation already established by the square.

The building is designed as a mountain extract, a
rocky space covered in Mediterranean vegetation.
This terraced landscape provides a green continuity
between the ground floor and the rooftop garden.

Designed as a truly functional space – a place for
informal meetings, one-off events and customer reception
– it offers views and connections with the distant landscape and the Principality’s remarkable landmarks:
the Rocher, the Tête de Chien, the Palace and the
sea.

This vertical landscape contributes to the profound transformation of the building and its image in the heart of the city. It gives CFM Indosuez a new identity, now visible from the Rock of the Principality and the Tête de Chien.

A plant-covered base connecting the building to its surroundings, revealing sober and elegant interiors

The green base forms the building’s connection with the
city and aims to soften this relationship by
adding a layer of vegetation.

The entrance sequence creates a threshhold by crossing
a pier overlooking a planted patio on the lower ground floor,
bringing natural, filtered light to the meeting rooms
located below. The interior spaces for
employees and customers are designed in the spirit of
eco-responsible and sensitive interior architecture,
playing with transparency while preserving the privacy and
confidentiality required for certain spaces.

The ‘rock’ building is reflected inside by a dialogue between materials (stone, wood, terrazzo and bronze) and by a mood and atmosphere that are in tune with the exterior image (rock – landscape). Their practical qualities and comfort meet current standards and inspirations, while anticipating future developments.

An environmentally and socially exemplary project

With BD2M (Bâtiments Durables Méditerranéens
de Monaco) certification at the GOLD level in the design phase, the iconic building of CFM Indosuez bank offers

an optimal working environment, combining performance, well-being and social responsibility.

As part of a new urban and organisational dynamic, it demonstrates that making the most of what already exists, using a comprehensive and contextual approach respectful of the identity and spirit of the area, represents a valuable real estate opportunity and a low-carbon solution suited to the challenges of ecological transition on a site characterised by its density and grandeur.
