Ateliers 2/3/4/ and Samy Rio unveil the interior design of the Academy of an international organization in Lyon
For the Academy of an International Organisation in Lyons, France, Ateliers 2/3/4/ and Samy Rio conceived an interior design which combines educational innovation with environmental responsibility.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, they transformed educational challenges into an ecosystem of modular spaces and furniture, all brought together by the implementation of a common visual and material system: a framework combined with sustainable, bio-based (wood), recycled (aluminium, plastic) or reused materials. An approach where form, function and sustainability intertwine to create spaces that are both intelligent and sustainable.
Planned obsolescence gives way to reversibility: each element, designed to be removable, repairable and adaptable, meets trainers’ and trainees’ evolving needs. Scalability becomes the very foundation of the project, where flexibility of spaces and simplicity of materials — sourced and manufactured within 1,000 km — reduce the ecological footprint while stimulating educational creativity. A design that does not merely decorate the space but brings it to life, making it functional and meaningful.
