Embellishing the framework of daily life, with responsibility, from the landscape to the design of furniture: 2/3/4/ has designed a multifunctional table!
Between Design, and Research of the Pôle CYCL’RECYCL’, 2/3/4/ has designed a table : Nii 95, made with Atelier Emmaüs in beech wood saved from destruction and published by NOMA EDITIONS!
The Nii 95 table – taken from the Japanese ni or 二 in Kanji – is a multifunctional table : to work, to eat, to receive, to draw, to play.
It is a response to the current issues of flexibility and reversibility of use of spaces.
The void between the two tops offers a storage space, allowing objects to disappear from the upper top in a single gesture: the computer slides onto the lower top, leaving room for glasses, crockery and other victuals, and vice versa.
For this autumn, 3 events :
– MAISON & OBJETS, on the NOMA stand: Hall 6, stand N84/O83 in the Signatures sector from 9 to 13 September 2021
– As part of “Design sur Cour” and in the extraordinary setting of the courtyard of the historic library of the City of Paris, an XXL version of the Nii 95 table, designed by Ateliers 2/3/4/ and made of an amazing material, recycled paper, will be presented. This table, 10 m long and 1.2 m wide, will keep the history of its manufacture by leaving the leaves that make it up visible. It will be accompanied by benches of the same composition.
NOMA and Ateliers 2/3/4/ at Design sur Cour: from 9 to 18 September 2021, Bibliothèque historique de la ville de Paris, Hôtel Lamoignon, 24 rue Pavée, 75004 Paris
