Laureate – Pôle National d’Education Inclusive in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78)
Ateliers 2/3/4/ and all its teams are proud to announce that the grouping led by Demathieu Bard Bâtiment Île-de-France has won the global performance contract for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Pôle National d’Education Inclusive (PNEI) in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78) within the CY Cergy Paris University campus.
The installation of this National Centre for Inclusive Education, for which we are the architects and landscape designers, will strengthen this university campus, which is already home to the Institut National Supérieur du Professorat et de l’Education (INSPE), to which the Institut National Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche pour l’Education des jeunes Handicapés et les Enseignements Adaptés (INSHEA) has just been added in order to create a unique and pioneering educational centre of excellence.
The new building of approximately 6000m2 will be integrated into a protected green space. Designed like a pavilion, identifiable by its strong and compact shape, its uniqueness, rationality and flexibility will allow it to evolve according to the uses that will be made of over time, in the service of people.
Organic and ecological, this building, divided into three distinct strata allowing it to interact with the site and display its qualities of use, is inspired by the characteristics of the remarkable resort architecture of the existing campus: exposed trusses, balconies forming awnings, roofs, while at the same time being part of an exemplary environmental approach.
Built using dry construction methods, its carbon footprint is limited thanks to the integration of bio-sourced materials, and the landscaping strategy in place encourages biodiversity and the fight against the urban heat island phenomenon.
Open and bright, it has been designed around the paths of future users and their legibility, with attention paid to its accessibility and the creation of soothing and welcoming atmospheres through the choice of neutral and natural colours.
The PNEI will become the showcase of French excellence in the field of inclusion training. It is simple, legible, warm and pleasant to live in on a daily basis, and will promote the autonomy of all.
Many thanks to all the members of the consortium led by DEMATHIEU BARD BATIMENT ILE DE FRANCE, to the Académie de Versailles and to EPAURIF (Etablissement Public d’Aménagement Universitaire de la Région Ile-De-France).
